Whether it's a relaxing break you're looking for or you want to enjoy the beautiful scenery a stone's throw from Gérardmer lake, you've found the right place and you're very welcome.
Spectacular spruces, the emblem of the Vosges region, are all around. You can enjoy the peacefulness of one of our 97 touring pitches or the comfort of one of our holiday caravans situated on the edge of the forest. If you're up for a brisk 35-minute walk, there's a signposted path winding its way through the forest and down to the lake.
Your stay may be for a day, a weekend or even longer, but nestling among the evergreen pines that dance gently in the breeze to the tune of the gently flowing water, you'll find time to enjoy the many activities the Vosges has to offer.
Holidaying among the sea of spruces and pines is the perfect way to reconnect with nature and leave all your daily troubles behind. Hiking paths abound around the campsite and you'll enjoy life at a more relaxed pace. There's nothing quite like it for recharging tired batteries.
Perched on our vantage point at almost 700 metres, high up in the Gérardmer protected natural site, we're proud of our leisurely family atmosphere. Far from the hustle of daily life and noisy traffic, we have only the squirrels in the trees for neighbours. During the month of September, if you listen carefully and are lucky enough, you might hear the bellowing of the nearby stags looking for love.
So, put that telephone away and enjoy the serenity of our peaceful campsite.
We're open virtually the whole year round, only taking a short month's break from the middle of October to the middle of November. Come and sample some of the magic the Vosges has to offer.
Camping during the winter months ... what a crazy idea! Think again. Our on-site caravans are as warm and welcoming as a well-buttered piece of toast!
When the snow glistens and the kids are sledging on the campsite to their hearts' content, it's time for the older campers to enjoy the delights of a warming and aromatic mulled wine.
Si vous voulez skier, la station de Gérardmer se trouve à 8km et celle de La Bresse à 20km.
For skiers, the Gérardmer ski station is a measly 8 kms distant and the La Bresse station is only 20 kms away.
If you're a motorhome guest or you're towing a caravan you'll find our heated amenity blocks an absolute joy. A slight word of warning: make sure you have all necessary winter driving equipment. Don't forget we're in a forest on the side of a mountain. Even though the roads are cleared and gritted, you'll still feel safer with the correct equipment.
At the end of a hard day enjoying the surrounding Vosges countryside, you'll want to relax on a pitch that's just you.
Hedges mark out your very own 80 to 100 square metres of the Vosges countryside and whether you visit us with a motorhome, caravan or a tent you'll have full access to our amenity blocks, chemical disposal points and all of our various services and facilities.
With or without electrical hookup (2 or 6 amps), near to the forest or not far from the loos, there's a pitch for everybody.
